Hello.
I’m Lisa Lagasse, the heart and soul behind Invincible Summer.

With decades of experience in holistic wellness, I’m dedicated to helping individuals of all ages discover wellness and connectedness with themselves and their surroundings.
With years of study and practice in mindful movement, I specialize in the ancient arts of Yoga and Ayurveda, both pathways to prevention and self-healing. My focus extends to the traditions of Kripalu and Ashtanga, where the synergy of effort, integrity, and presence holds transformative potential.
My journey has been enriched by teachings from various sources, including Nature herself as well as wisdom traditions from around the world. As a wellness professional, I’ve had the privilege to learn from diverse practitioners such as Midwives, Naturopaths, Herbalists, Therapists, Acupuncturists, Aromatherapists, Farmers, and Educators.
When you choose to work with me, you gain access to my essential skills and holistic tools, honed through years of dedicated practice and learning.
My Background
Lisa was born and raised on the East Coast of the US by loving, supportive parents who instilled in her an appreciation for the path of self-knowledge, acceptance, and loving-kindness. Her passion for plants, people, and community was ignited by living and working with women in Jamaica.
Living with a homesteading family in New Hampshire also taught her to connect with nature and the rhythms of life. During winters as a librarian in a small rural town, she delved into books on global healing traditions—physically, mentally, and spiritually. This period of inquiry revealed the powerful similarities among ancient wisdom traditions about finding meaning and purpose in the way of life.
Inspired by “The Book of Yoga” from the Sivananda Yoga Center, Lisa’s journey focused on the study and practice of Yoga and Ayurveda. Her foundational training began with Connecticut-based Kripalu teachers Sydnie and Paul Cote, and in Ashtanga, she learned from the late Jeff Zweig and New York-based Tanya Farmer. She completed her yoga certification with Ganesh Iyer of Connecticut and studied the works of Dr. John Douillard and Maya Tiwari in Ayurveda.
Lisa has extensive experience educating teens in high school English, teaching life skills in group homes, supporting mothers and babies in attachment and thriving, leading stress-relief yoga circles for families from diverse backgrounds, and helping elders regain range of motion and joy in their daily lives.
A passionate lifelong learner, Lisa is grateful for a fulfilling life with her bright, beautiful, beloved teenage daughters, powerful and loving sister friends, and growing sangha. She enjoys walking on wooded paths or by the water, whether in silence or in laughter, listening to guided meditations, gazing at the fire, and dancing. Lisa follows a plant-based diet and loves creating in the kitchen with her family. She is grateful for her health, strength, the medicine of the earth, and her faith.
Lisa gives thanks for the leaders and teachers of the Way and for the immense power of love she sees in the beauty of flowers and in our actions of service and gestures of compassion.
